The observer in the graceful twin seat bi-plane was struggling to focus on the job at hand, his mind kept racing back to the two fresh faces he'd seen arriving on squadron just as he raced for the hanger. He'd read through their records the day before they were transferred from basic training, nothing special. However there was a hint of danger in those hungry eyes. These brothers were going to lift flagging spirits in the camp for sure.
'Come on Beni, pull it together' he thought.
'Plenty of time to get to know those two young Kochs'
Benedikt Hass peered at the map, ducking his head into the cockpit of the Hannover, out of the slipstream. His finger traced a long line from Peu D'Odeur airfield to the Lac Foutre ammo dump. They were almost there. He jerked his head up and glanced around looking for British fighters. He didn't bother looking directly up, as he could sense the dark mass of clouds above them; dense, thick clouds, sufficient to deter even the bravest Tommy. He checked his gun and then peered forwards between the wings, eyes searching for the ammo dump...
