Summary

Narrative

Synopsis

The British RE8 held back whilst the British scouts downed the Hun. With a sky clear of enemy, Bill and Ron made their bombing run, narrowly missing the HQ and inflicting, at most, light damage. Unfortunately they had a near miss from archie that severed a fuel line. Bill headed for home, getting increasingly pessimistic as more and more of the plane was engulfed in flames. He managed to extinguish the flames with a bit of skill and a lot of luck, limping home to Bertangles with a very badly damaged Harry Tate and an equally badly burned Ron.
